Karol J. Harmon

LEICESTER: Karol J. (Carlson) Harmon, of Rochdale, MA, passed away on Thursday, May 2nd in UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester after a brief illness. Her husband of 49 years, Robert C. Harmon, died March 27, 2024. She leaves her four children: Christine V. Harmon and her partner Brett Baker of Oakham, Michael R. Harmon and his partner Kaitlin Naleski of Dudley, Matthew S. Harmon and his partner Megan Hoey of Framingham and Sarah J. Harmon and her partner Fabio Minardi of Sutton as well as 7 grandchildren; Tyler A. Harmon, Tristan P. Dumas, Evelyn J. Minardi, Amelia C. Minardi, Zachary P. Harmon, Cameron M. Harmon and Hazel M. Harmon, her sister, Karen Long of West Springfield, nieces and nephews. Karol was born in Holden, the daughter of Herbert and Edna (Conger) Carlson and later graduated from Wachusett Regional High School, Holden. In the summer of 1970 she met the love of her life and they were married in 1974. Raising their family in Leicester her kids were loved and adored by her. Everyone was welcome in her house, many of her children's friends walked freely into her home as if it were their own. There was nothing she loved more than seeing others happy. She was a beautiful soul who devoted her entire life to her family, always putting them first. Her greatest joy was celebrating her kids and grandkids and spoiling them. After retiring in 2018 she spent her time sewing blankets, and spending time with her loving husband and adoring on her many grandchildren. Her soulmate was there to greet her in Heaven where they can now spend eternity together. Memorial calling hours will be held Monday May 13th in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester from 4-6pm with a memorial service at 6pm.
