Obituary

NO.BROOKFIELD: Kenneth P. Amons, 73, of No. Brookfield passed Saturday, May 2nd at Brookside Rehabilitation in Webster.  He leaves his wife of 25 years, Judith M. (Kokocinski) Amons, his son Michael P. Amons and his wife Kimberly of Uxbridge, his daughter Nicole L. Amons and her partner Kevin Glode of Webster, his siblings Steven Amons and his wife LouAnn of Webster, Paula Perkins of Worcester, Robert Amons and his wife Carmen of W.Boylston, David Amons and his wife Ann of Leominster and Laurie Amons of W.Boylston, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ken was born in Worcester, the son of Chester A. and Janice M. (Bucknam) Amons and later graduated from West Boylston High School class of 1970.  Ken was an accomplished master carpenter and contractor for most of his life before retiring. Ken was a member of the Worcester Carpenters Union Local 107 and was a member of the executive board. His building projects dot the landscape across New England.

He enjoyed antique cars, especially his vintage Thunderbird, as well as repairing and collecting classic Greeves motorcycles, home improvement and gardening. Ken was a true artisan, designing and building his family home with his father and brothers, and refining his home in North Brookfield into a beautiful sun-filled sanctuary that blends nature with true craftsmanship. Ken was a nature lover; he was at his happiest outside in the sunshine whether on his Harley, at Mayflower Beach, or on his classic wood boat at Lake Winnipesaukee. He traveled with his family extensively across Europe and America and loved experiencing culture and art across the globe. Ken’s love for his family, his artistry, as well as his strength of personality will be missed by everyone who knew him.

A Memorial Service for Ken will be held in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer on Thursday May 14, 2026 at 11 am.  A calling hour will be held prior to the service from 10 to 11am in the funeral home.
