Kiarie Simon Kibe

E. BROOKFIELD: Kiarie Simon Kibe, 46, passed away on Monday, December 30th, in UMASS Hospital in Worcester after fighting a brave battle with a difficult illness for many years.

He leaves his beloved wife of 17 years, Shannon K. (Pothier) Kibe of E. Brookfield, his sons; Samuel K. Kibe and Robert W. Kibe, his daughter Mary W. Kibe, his father Samuel Kiarie Kibe of Kenya, his sisters; Hannah Gakenia Kiarie of Worcester and Margaret Mumbi Kiarie of Toronto, his in-laws Wayne R. Pothier, Sr., and Geraldine J Pothier, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother, as well as his brother-in-law and best friend, Wayne R. Pothier, Jr.

He was born in Nairobi, Kenya to Samuel Kiarie and the late Mary Wambui (Kiuna) Kibe. He graduated in 1995 from Muhoho High School in Kenya. He was a hard worker having owned his own logistics business for many years and was very devoted to his family. He enjoyed music and dancing, but most of all was a loving, peaceful, kind, and happy person to all who knew him.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 15th at 11am in St. John's Baptist Church in E. Brookfield. Calling hours will precede from 9:00-10:30am in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terrace., Spencer.
