LEICESTER: Leon R. Buckley, 70, died on Monday, November 11th at home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45yrs, Terri (Buffone) Buckley, 2 sons; Leon R. Buckley, Jr. of Leicester and Jesse Buckley of Spencer, 2 grandchildren; Kaylee and Brandon Buckley; 5 brothers; Thomas E. Buckley, Jr. and his wife Linda of Leicester, James R. Buckley and his wife Frances of Auburn, John E. Buckley and his wife Sharon of Jacksonville, FL., Francis K. Buckley and his wife Mary of Spencer, and Henry R. Buckley of Margate, FL., his sister Cheryl Tebo and her husband John of Spencer, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Raymond w. Buckley, who passed away on July 4, 2023.
He was born in Worcester, son of Thomas E. and Linda (Lehtinen) Buckley and later graduated from Leicester High School. He worked for an auto repair shop for over 50yrs specializing in detail and bodywork. He was a very detailed, oriented man who enjoyed fishing, watching the Red Sox and Patriots, and more importantly, spending time with his family.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 18th from 4-6PM in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. No other services at this time at the request of the family.
