Leon L. Stewart

LEICESTER/WORCESTER: Leon J. Stewart, 88, passed away at his son's house in Worcester on October 3rd, 2026, surrounded by family.

Leon leaves his daughter, Brenda Germain; his son Brian and partner Lisa Callahan; his grandchildren Jana, James, Peter, Angela, and Celia; and his great granddaughter Dahlia Rose.

Leon is predeceased by his wife of 53 years Etta Diane (Smith), his daughter Barbara, and his son Barry.

Leon was born in Albany, NY, on April 17th,1938, son to the late Roy and Theresa (Menti) Stewart. Leon moved to Massachusetts in 1962 after serving in the Air Force. He was a lifelong window cleaner, working for various companies and then starting his own company in 1980 until his retirement in 2003. He resided in Leicester for 52 years where he was active in Little League and a member of The Leicester Rod and Gun Club. He was an avid bowler, hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed oil painting.

A service/celebration of life/meal will be held on Thursday, November 5th, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the Spencer Country Inn, 500 Main Street, Spencer, MA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
