Linda Vandale

SPENCER: Linda M. (Blodgett) Vandale 67 of 93 Hastings Rd., died Monday, Jan. 31 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, after being stricken ill at her home on Jan. 26th.

She leaves her husband of 47 years, David A. Vandale, her daughter Amy L. Vandale of Spencer, three brothers K. Neil Blodgett of W.Brookfield, Karl Blodgett of E.Brookfield and Eugene Blodgett of Spencer, nieces and nephews.

Linda began her career with the former Robert Kelley Insurance Agency in Spencer and later joined her husband as treasurer of Vanco Sand & Gravel Co. in Spencer where she worked until her retirement in 2006.

Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Eugene and Lena (Cournoyer) Blodgett. She graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Spencer and at onetime was a Rainbow Girl.

Linda loved the ocean, the waves at Myrtle Beach, gardening, her Labrador Retrievers Lucy & Claire, travelling with her family and BASEBALL.

At Linda's request, no funeral services are planned. Please omit flowers. Contributions may be made to either the First Congregational Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 187, Spencer, MA 01562 or Second Chance Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 136, E.Brookfield, MA.01515 in her memory.
