Lloyd G. Strout Sr.

Lloyd G. Strout, Sr., 72, of 2 Forest Street, died peacefully Sunday, Sept. 25 after a short illness in Parsons Hill Nursing and Rehab Center in Worcester.

He leaves his wife of 48 years Gail M. (Thompson) Strout, two sons Lloyd Strout, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Spencer and Glenn Strout of Leicester, two daughters Cynthia Shaw and her husband Keith of Hawaii and Sarah Strout of Nyack, NY, four brothers Everett & Leon Strout both of Maine, Ralph Strout of Millbury and Dennis Strout of Florida, seven sisters Esther Smith & Vera Strout both of Maine, Beatrice Richardson of CT, Judy Strout of Florida, Carole Durand of R.I., Nancy Lawler of Sutton and Linda Villenue of CA, 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Strout was born in Portland, Maine son of, Leon and Freda (Grant) Strout. He was a printer at Commonwealth Press in Worcester for 22 years retiring in 1987. He graduated from Commerce High School, in Worcester. He was involved for many years with the Boy Scouts and traveled around the area to run Pinewood Derby's. He loved fishing.

The funeral will be held Friday, Sept. 30 at 10:00 AM in MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Thursday from 6:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Millbury Federated Church, 20 Main Street, Millbury, MA 01527.
