Lorraine Buckmaster

SPENCER: Lorraine Y. "Doodles" (O'Coin) Buckmaster,85, of 60 Mechanic Street, died Thursday, May 22 in Quaboag on the Common in W.Brookfield.
She was the wife of George R. Buckmaster who died in 1979.
She leaves two sons Jay Buckmaster of N.Brookfield and Jon Buckmaster of Leominster, a daughter Linda Dagley-Duval with whom she lived, three brothers Roland and Wilfred O'Coin of Spencer and Harold O'Coin of Lantana, Fl., a sister Lill Letendre of Spencer, four grand children Lee-Ann Wiseman, Sean Dargis, Jamie Buckmaster and Jodie Buckmaster, and five great grand children, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Buckmaster was a longtime shoe worker at the former Brookfield Athletic Shoe Co., before retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and its St.Anne's Sodality, the American Legion Post 138 Women's Auxillary and once served as President, Historian and EBoard member, and a member of the Spencer and Brookfield Golden Age Clubs.
Born in Spencer, she was the daughter of Leo and Eva (Duval) O'Coin.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 28 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary,Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are Tuesday, May 27 from 5 to 7p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mary,Queen of the Rosary Parish, 60 Maple St., Spencer, 01562.
