SPENCER/EAST BROOKFIELD: Louise M. (Wagner) Carter, 83, died Tuesday, Nov. 12th at UMass Medical Center in Worcester as the result of injuries sustained in a pedestrian/auto accident in Auburn.
She was the wife of her dearly missed husband, Francis E. Carter, who died in 2018. They were married for 57 years. She leaves her son, Brian F. Carter of Spencer; her daughter, Lynne M. Chalifoux of E. Brookfield and her partner, Paul Kearns; and daughter Leslie A. Daniels and her husband Randy of Sturbridge; three grandchildren, Kirsten Langill, Jillian Chalifoux, and Jenna Carter; three great-granddaughters, Charley Comeau, and Ramsey and Daisy Langill. She is predeceased by her brother, Ronald Wagner in 2021.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Donald E. and Blanche M.R. (Gouin) Wagner, and later graduated from David Prouty High School in 1959. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Parish in East Brookfield.
Louise was a longtime legal secretary for Donald Feener & Associates in Worcester prior to her retirement in 2008. She was kind and compassionate, and always had a smile on her face. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was anxiously looking forward to the arrival of her twin great-grandbabies in January.
Louise enjoyed family get-togethers, her annual birthday cookout on the lake, her daily walks, participation in the Easter and Christmas St. John's contata, her book-of-the-month club, playing Quiddler card game with her kids, and of course the daily Wordle competition with family.
She greatly enjoyed spending time with her friend since kindergarten, Pauline Gaudette, as well as her other longtime friend, Barbara Daoust.
