Mairion D. Laventure

Mairion D. (Paton) Laventure,81, of 22 Lyford Road, died Sunday, Jan. 9 in Quaboag on the Common, West Brookfield after an illness.
She was the wife of Omer J. Laventure who died in 1979. She leaves a daughter Catherine A. Schutzer of Spencer, Twin brothers Olin & Roland Paton of Vermont, two sisters Delores Russell of Clearlake, CA and Sylvia Paton of Bangor, Maine, two grandaughters Lynn & Margaret of Southbridge.
Mrs. Laventure was born in Williamstown, Vt. the daughter of Walter E. and Laura (Lizer) Paton.
She was once a wire stripper at Spencer Wire before retiring in 1988. Previously she worked at Brookfield Shoe and Klevin Shoe Companies.
She enjoyed walking through Howe Park with her dog. She was a member of St. Mary's Church.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, Jan. 12 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer, with a Mass at 11a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 60 Maple St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary,Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. A calling hour will be held Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Quaboag on the Common Activity Fund, 47 E.Main St., W.Brookfield, Ma. 01585.
