Marcella "Frankie" Herring

SPENCER: Marcella F. "Frankie" Herring 88, of Wilson St., died Wednesday, Aug. 24 at UMASS Memorial, Lake Ave., Worcester.
She was the wife of Carol E. "Tex" Herring who died in 2006. She leaves her sons Mark E. Herring and his wife Lynne, and Stephen A. Herring, her daughter LeeAnn Pontbriand and her husband Roger all of Spencer, 6 grandchildren Sean M. Denaris and his wife Yeonjung of Richardson, Tx., Heather A. and Ryan J. Pontbriand and his fiance Jill Cronin of Spencer, Megan L. Lavoie and her husband Matthew of So.Boston, Jillian A. Herring and Stephanie L. Abdella and her husband Joel and daughter Bayleigh all of Spencer.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Francis and Marcella (Maxwell) Doyle and later graduated from the former Commerce High School. She enjoyed, sewing, feeding the birds, going to movies and her friends at McDonald's in Spencer.
Funeral services for Frankie will be held on Saturday, Aug. 27 at 12 p.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Calling hours will precede the service on Saturday from 10:30 to Noon. Burial will be at a later date in Mary,Queen of the Rosary Cemetery.
