Marie L. Smith

Marie L. (Goulet) Smith, 91, formerly of 53 Lincoln Street, Spencer died Wednesday, June 20 in Oakwood Nursing Center in Webster.

She was the wife of Charles E. Smith who died in 1971. She leaves her brother Wilfred Goulet and his wife Claire of Sturbridge, three sisters Gladys Trahan and her husband George of Bullhead, Ariz., Maryella Paquin of No.Andover and Lorenza Menard of Southbridge, her caretaker Eugene Martin of Charlton, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by brothers Antonio, Burt, Maurice and Conrad Goulet and sisters Mary Ann Blais and Muriel Jordan.

Born in Canada, she was the daughter of Alphonse and Alma (Boucher) Goulet. She worked several years at Spencer Wire before retiring.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 25 at 11 a.m.in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERALHOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. A calling hour will precede the service on Monday from 10 to 11a.m.
