Marie Sottak

WORCESTER; Marie B. (LaCroix) Sottak, 84 of 22 Benjamin Rd., died Thursday, August 14 at Tatnuck Park Assisted Living in Worcester after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 18 years, Donald L. Sottak, two sons; William J. Wood, Jr. of Boynton Beach, FLA., John F. "Jake" Wood and his wife Lee'Ann of Leicester, a daughter, Patricia M. Southard and her husband Thomas of Rochdale, a sister LaRena Dube of Largo, FLA., 12 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, a step-son Michael Sottak and his wife Toni of Turks and Caicos and a step-daughter Patricia Murphy and her husband Wayne of Gilford, N.H.
She was predeceased by her first husband, William J. Wood in 1960 and her second husband, Benjamin Sliwoski in 1979 and a step-son, Paul Sottak in 1999.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Francis X. & Rose (Drapeau) Lacroix.
Mrs. Sottak was an office administrator at the Leicester Housing Authority for 22 years, retiring in 1995.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Leicester. She was a member and past president of the Cherry Valley American Legion Womens Auxiliary, Post 443.
The funeral will be held, Saturday, August 16 from the MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester, with a Mass at 10 A.M. in St. Joseph's Church, 759 Main St., Leicester. Calling hours are Friday from 5-7 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
