Marilyn J. Gillis

Marilyn J. (Brace) Gillis, 60, of 365 Main Street died Tuesday,
Nov. 7 in her home after an illness.
Her husband Charles E. Gillis, Jr. died in 1990. She leaves three sons
Charles E. Gillis, III and his wife Sabrina , George W. Chapman and his wife
Jackie and Ernest S. Chapman all of Spencer, a daughter Karen D. Fish and
her husband Michael of Spencer, a brother Ronald Brace of Tampa, FL, two
sisters Lorna McFee of Estero, FL and Nancy Bolles of Hudson, FL, 12
grandchildren; Joseph Brown, Tanya & Kim Chapman, Joseph, Krissy & Terry
Morrison, Samantha Chapman, Charles, Bradley & Devon Gillis, Cody & Michael
Fish and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gillis was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada daughter of Ernest
and Edris (Hall) Brace. She was a line supervisor for 18 years at Millbrook
Distributors in Leicester retiring in 1996. She was a longtime volunteer
for the S.H.A.R.E. program in Spencer. She enjoyed knitting and quilting.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, Nov. 9 at 3:00 PM in the
Charlton City United Methodist Church, 74 Stafford Street, Charlton. Burial
will be private in Pine Grove Cemetery, Spencer. There are no calling
hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to: VNA Care
