SPENCER; Rev. Marius Granato 87 OCSO (Cistercian Order of Strict Observance) Trappist of St. Joseph Abbey, died Monday Nov. 10 at the Abbey Infirmary after a long illness. He was a Trappist monk for 46 years and ordained a priest on May 1, 1964. He served in various capacities within the community and as chaplain to the Trappestine Sisters in Wrentham, Ma. and Latin America. He served in the AirForce during WW II and Korea. He leaves a brother Patrick Granato of Brooklyn, N.Y. and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Abbey Church, 167 No. Spencer Rd., Spencer. Burial will be in the monastery cemetery. J.Henri morin & Son Funeral Home, 23 Maple Terr., is directing arrangements
