SPENCER: Mary C. (O'Connor) Williams,72, of Spencer, died Friday, March 1st at UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, surrounded by her family, after a brief illness.
Beloved husband of 52 years of Donald A. Williams. Loving mother of Dawn Marie MacDonald and her husband Scott of Londonderry, NH and Michael A. Williams and his wife Carole of Pelham, NH. Dear sister of Kathleen Ramsey of Oxford and the late Ann Goodrow. Proud Nana to Lillian, Ryan, Camden, Colin, and Dylan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and family. Mary worked for the Town of Spencer for 30 years, retiring in 2015. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Thomas and Margaret (Gagnon) O'Connor and later graduated from Leicester High School in 1969. Mary cherished being a Nana. She was a loyal friend. Her favorite activities always involved spending time with family and friends. She was a New England sports fan. Mary's warm and fun-loving nature endeared her to all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives.
Calling hours will be held in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer on Wednesday, March 6, from 9:30-10:45am. followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Spencer Rescue Squad, 6 Bixby Rd., Spencer, MA 01562.
