Marylou (Doane) Delisle

NO.BROOKFIELD: MaryLou (Doane) Delisle, 61 of Hillsville Rd., died Thursday, Dec. 24 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She leaves her husband of 36 years, Raymond J. Delisle, three brothers Michael Doane and his wife Beth of Warren, Patrick Doane of Florida, and Kevin Doane and his partner Diane Colby of Leicester, several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Nancy Robidoux. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Walter and Dorothy (Patricks) Doane and was raised in Leicester attending Leicester Schools. MaryLou was office manager for Guaranty Glass in Spencer for 8 years, retiring recently due to illness. Along with her husband,Ray the couple ran Gaudette's Variety Store in Spencer for 5 years. She leaves her horse and best friend of 29 years "Bentley" as well as her dog "Apollo" who were so much a part of her life.She loved gardening, and working in the yard .She also loved spending time at the ocean.Her greatest asset was helping anybody that needed it.She will be dearly missed by anyone who was lucky enough to know her.The pain is gone, no more suffering, she is in God's hands now, we will miss you dearly.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 11 a.m. in Mary,Queen of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. A reception and "Celebration of her Life" will follow at Noon in the Spencer Fish and Game Club, 155 Mechanic St. Spencer. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 136, E.Brookfield, Ma. 01515.
