Michael R. "Mickey" Morrison, Sr.

PETERSHAM: Michael "Mickey" Morrison, 67, died at home on May 6, 2025, after a long illness. He leaves the love of his life, his wife of 47 years, Dawn M. Morrison (Torte) with whom he made his home. He also leaves a son, Shawn Morrison of Worcester, a daughter, Leah Zell, her husband Jarrett of Portsmouth, RI, brothers, Patrick Morrison of Spencer, Paul Morrison, his wife Michelle of Worcester and sister, Ann Marie Wheeler, her husband Randall of Leicester and nephew, Ross Morrison of Worcester. He also leaves four grandchildren, Amber, Reid, Peyton and Ender, and one great grandson, Christopher Michael as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mickey was predeceased by his son Michael Morrison, his parents Royal Morrison, Kathleen (Brennan) Morrison Conlon and his stepfather Robert Conlon and his siblings, Catherine Anish and James Morrison.

He worked at Patriot Metals of Worcester, Industrial Transfer in Dudley and he was a member of the Massachusetts Laborers Local Union #243 and L.I.U.N.A. for many years.

Mickey was an avid hiker and completed a thru hike on the Appalachian Trail in 2016. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, hunter and outdoorsman but his greatest joy was spending time with all of his grandchildren, who he loved very much, and he was a very proud grandpa.

Calling hours are Friday, May 9th from 4-6 P.M. in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. At the family's request there are no other services planned.
