SPENCER: Patricia L. (Christian) L'Heureux,85, of Howe Village, died peacefully, on Monday, Oct. 2nd. in her home. She was the wife of Robert J. "Hap" L'Heureux who died in 2011. She leaves her son: Robert F. L'Heureux and his wife Kathleen of Dudley, and her daughter: Kim L. O'Toole and her husband Robert of White Plains, NY, 6 grandchildren: Alicia, Jacqueline, Spencer, Johanna, Christian and Robert, a great grandson: Victor, several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother; Francis Christian and a sister; Jane Gaucher. Pat took great pride in her work ethic and always enjoyed a new challenge. She held a wide variety of employment experiences in her lifetime, including Massachusetts Electric, Brookfield Athletic Shoe, Marane Oil, and prior to her retirement became a real estate broker for Lussier Brothers Realty and later with Century 21. She was an avid gardener and loved developing a beautiful array of plants and flowers at her home in East Brookfield, where she lived for over 50 years and raised her family. She found special joy in spending time with her grandchildren and with her husband, Hap, at their second home in Florida where they spent over 20 years enjoying the sun, the beach and many rounds of golf with friends. She missed him very much after his passing in 2011. Pat led a very active lifestyle. When she was younger, she loved playing in a women's softball league for many years. She learned to ski with her children at Ward Hill Ski Area and taught them to fish. Once she retired, she ran a women's golf league at the former Bay Path Golf Course as well participating in bowling leagues at Bayberry Lanes. But perhaps her greatest activity was traveling. She and Hap went on several wonderful trips in the states and after his death, she went on many adventures with Bernie Dube, including the Danube River and a train tour across the northern USA. She was born in Spencer, the daughter of Eugene and Rachel (Normandin) Christian and later graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer.  Her funeral will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7th. from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer.
