OAKHAM: Patricia E. (Hennessy) Vanasse, 68, of Oakham, died Sunday, July 2nd at her home.She leaves her brothers; Richard Hennessy and his wife Dawn of New Braintree and Dennis "Barney" Hennessy and his wife LuAnn of Cherry Valley, many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers; John, Edward, Donal and most recently, James Hennessy, her sisters; Kathleen Soucie and Eileen Hennessy.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of John A. and Frances X. (Doran) Hennessy and later graduated from Leicester High School '73 and Leo's Beauty Academy and Brom's Barber School in Worcester. She worked for 9 years at GF Wright Co., tended bar at the former Hennessy's Cafe and worked for D & S Roofing. She enjoyed games, scrabble, cribbage and cross word puzzles.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, July 14th. from the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1161 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Leicester. Calling hours will precede the service from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Attendees are asked to wear a piece of "green" honoring her "Irish Heritage".
