Paul J. Martel Sr.

LEICESTER; Paul J. Martel, Sr., 86, formerly of 72 Boyd St., Cherry Valley, died Wednesday, May 7 at Worcester Rehab & Healthcare Center.

He was the husband of Barbara M. (Harris) Martel who died in 2002. He leaves a son Paul J. Martel, Jr. and his wife Joyce of Hardwick, three granddaughters; Shari, Jane and Jolleen, and three great grandchildren; Joyce, Oliver and Samuel.

Paul was a manager at New Method Plating in Worcester before retiring many years ago.

Born in Ipswitch, He was the son of Trefle and Alice (Marcarel) Martel, and later served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He enjoyed trips to the casino and attending the Leicester Senior Center.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Leicester at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers.
