BROOKFIELD: Paula (Torres) Miranda, 93 of Brookfield, MA born June
26,1930 passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, in Rose
Monahan Hospice Home, Worcester, MA.
Paula was a lifetime self-employed seamstress. She was well regarded
by the community and selflessly shared her time and many talents. She
enjoyed crafts, music, dancing and laughter. Her biggest accomplishment
was raising 12 amazing children. Paula was passionate about sharing
the love of our Lord with others. From a very young age Paula prioritized
participation in a faith community. It began at her birthplace in Orocovis,
Puerto Rico and ended at Mary Queen of The Rosary Church, Spencer,
MA where she spent countless hours in prayer and service.
A loyal servant of God, Paula was always loving and caring to her family
and friends. Now that Paula has passed into the arms of our Lord, her
physical life on earth is over but it is the beginning of an eternal and
beautiful journey for her.
She leaves 4 sons; Rodolfo Miranda and his wife Cheryl of Spencer,
Miguel Miranda and his wife Dawn of Scottsdale, AZ, Juan Miranda Jr.
and his wife Shelley of N. Brookfield, David Miranda and his fiancé
Dawn Marie of Franklin, 8 daughters; Hermenegilda Miranda-Rivera and
her husband Sergio of Naguabo, Puerto Rico, Dorothy Bellaria and her
husband Michael of Cape Cod, MA, Teresita Miranda of Auburn, MA,
Wanda O'Coin and her husband James of Somers, CT, Lourdes Ugrinow
and her husband Paul of Charlton, Margaret Ungerer and her husband
Brian of Sturbridge, Pauline Miranda and her fiancé Dominic of
Brookfield and Jenny Miranda of Webster, 25 grandchildren, 16 great
grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She leaves 5 siblings; Marcelina, Gladys, Senado, Bolivar and Miguel
Torres.
Paula was predeceased by her husband Juan in 2017. They were
married 64 incredible years.
She was born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Jose and Maria
(Ortiz) Torres.
A funeral Mass was held in Mary Queen of the Rosary Parish followed
by burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be made to Mary Queen of the Rosary
Parish, 46 Maple St., Spencer, MA 01562. The J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer directed funeral arrangements for the family.
