LEICESTER: Peter DiCentes 91,of 2 Logan St. in the Cherry Valley section of Leicester, died Tuesday, March 23 at his home.
He leaves his son James P. DiCentes and his wife Sharon of Leicester, two daughters Nancy A. Besso of Georgia and Carol Cummings of Florida, several grand, great grand children, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brothers Guy, Dominick and Wisty and sisters Laura and Bernice.
Mr. DiCentes worked at Farber Corp. in Worcester for many years, retiring in 1983.
He was born in Millinocket, Maine the son of Antonio and Caroline (Mosciso) DiCentes. He later served his country during WW II with the US Army and was stationed in Hawaii during the bombing of Pearl Harbor. An avid fisherman and hunter he was a former member of Singletary Rod & Gun Club in Sutton.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 25 at 11a.m. in the MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton with Military Honors. A calling hour will be held on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to V.N.A. Care Network & Hospice,120 Thomas St., Worcester, Ma. 01608.
