Phyllis M. Hayden

SANFORD, MAINE: Phyllis M. Hayden, 89, of Sanford, died Monday, Feb. 20th, 2023 at Pinnacle Health & Rehab Center after a short illness.
Phyllis was born in Worcester, MA on Aug 16 1933 to Philip and Alice (Marsh) Hayden. She graduated from Lynbrook Senior High School on Long Island NY in 1951.
Phyllis was a longtime office manager for NBC in New York City and worked 18 years for an insurance company in Garden City, NY prior to her retirement. She enjoyed travel and shared many trips around the world with her lifelong friend Jean (deceased in 2012). Phyllis loved cats and had the company of cats for most of her life. Phyllis also enjoyed spending time with friends and family at a cottage she and Jean shared in the Berkshires of MA.
She leaves her nephews; Robert Moreau and his wife Joan of Wells, ME., and David Moreau of Omaha, Neb., a niece; Beth Hetterich and her husband Paul of Richmond, VA., several grand nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Nancy Moreau and her nephew; John Moreau.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 9th. at 1 p.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, 123 Pine St., Leicester, MA .
