Pierre C. St. John

SPENCER: Pierre C. St. John,82, passed away on January 24, 2026, at Umass Hospital Worcester. He was born on October 21, 1943, the son of Abraham St. John and Naomi (Letiecq) St.John. Pierre was a lifelong resident of Spencer. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Carol (Campell) St. John. His three daughters, Judithe Cournoyer and her husband John, Annette LaCroix and her husband Vic, and Laura Kelliher and her husband Bob. Also grandchildren John Cournoyer and his wife Gina, Brian and his wife Shannon, Sara McCutcheon and her husband Ed, Bradon Nevalsky and his fiance Natalie Humphrey, Alex Cournoyer, Rachel Kelliher, Danny Kelliher and Ethan Kelliher. Four great-grandchildren, Noah Cournoyer, Maxton Cournoyer, Jacob Renya and Francesca. Pierre was predeceased by his siblings, Arthur St.John, Elaine Lamoureux, and Dianne Cyr. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

A man of deep faith, he was a parishioner of Mary Queen of the Rosary Church and found great comfort listening to daily readings of "Bible in a Year". Pierre kept many of you in his daily prayers.

Pierre worked at Norton Company in Worcester, retiring to Village Gun Shop. He was also a legendary sportsman: known for his readiness at the Spencer Fish and Game club - often arriving with two bags of gear for himself and five more, in case a friend forgot something. He enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips with his friends, Dick and Ernie Berube and Bob Fecteau. The tales of these trips, and the pranks he played, will long be remembered. Pierre shared his passion for hunting and fishing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which they will cherish for a lifetime.

Pierre had a passion for researching and digging local Indian arrowheads. His collection can be viewed at the Spencer Library.

He enjoyed his routines: daily walks with Locki and Lexi, weekend errands with Annette, phone chats with Laura, and his many friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his lifetime friend Bernard Dube viewing his slides of his many travels around the world.

There will be no funeral services per Pierre's request.
