Raymond P. Barton

Raymond P. Barton, 65, of 39 Foster Hill Road died Thursday, March 19 in St. Vincent Hospital after being stricken ill.
He leaves a son Anthony J. Barton of Worcester, five brothers Alfred & Edmond Barton both of Hudson, Ernest Barton and Edward Barton both of Sarasota, FL, and Robert Barton of West Brookfield, a sister Georgette Leonard of Marlborough, his former wife Sandra L. Horne and her husband Dennison of Worcester. He is predeceased by two sons Corey Barton who died in 2001 and Jeffrey Barton who died in 2007.
Mr. Barton was born in Marlborough, son of Ernest and Annette (Benoit) Barton. He grew up and attended school in Hudson. He was a manager at Honey Bee Orchards in West Brookfield for many years,retiring in 2005. He was a member of the New England Apple Council. He was a longtime farmer and fruit grower. He was an excellent pool player.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 26 at 3:00 PM in MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester. Calling hours are from 1:00-3:00 PM preceding the service.
