Raymond N. Dumais

SPENCER: Raymond N. Dumais, 69, died suddenly Monday, Dec 16th, after being stricken ill. He leaves his wife of 18 years, Barbara (Wright Gagne) Dumais, his daughters, Megan F. Dumais and her fiancé, Jayme Mills of Leicester and Sherrie L. Strothers and husband John of
Maumee, OH, his son Erich P. Berthiaume, Jr. of Bedford, NH, his stepson, Daniel Gagne and wife Christina, of New Milford, CT, sisters, Sue Burke of Spencer, Marie Leach and husband Andrew, of North Brookfield, his cherished grandchildren, Colton, Addie, Siena, Tessa and
Paige, many nieces, nephews, and his good friend Lee Baker. He is predeceased by his first wife, Kathleen (Farren) Dumais.
Ray was born in Worcester, the son of Norman and Constance (Grenier) Dumais and graduated from David Prouty HS in 1973. He was very proud of his service in the Marines and was a member of the Gaudette Kirk Post 138 American Legion. Ray was honored to serve the town of
Spencer as a Lieutenant on Engine #2 for 29 years. He worked at Norton Company, retiring in 2015.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 19th at 11:00 am in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terrace, Spencer. A visitation will precede the Services from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Spencer Fire Association, 11 West Main Street, Spencer, MA 01562.
