SPENCER: Raymond E. Goguen, 81, of Spencer, died Thursday, January 2, in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Worcester.
He is survived by two daughters, Christine M. Mitchell and her husband, John of Leicester, and Angela M. Noyes of Spencer; one grandchild Anastasia M. Noyes of Spencer; one sister Mary Connor of Wilmington, North Carolina; his godchild Leonard Bergstrom of Worcester; his ex-wife, Irene P. Goguen whom he maintained a close relationship with; and several nieces and nephews.
Ray was a truck driver for British Petroleum in Worcester before retiring in 2002. He later worked part-time at Central Mass Auto Auction in Oxford for several years. He was born in Worcester, the son of Leo E. Goguen and Hedwig (Pietrynczyk) Sulkowski. He was well-known for his daily visits to Dunkin' Donuts on W. Main Street in Spencer, where he cherished his morning routine and friendships with staff and fellow customers. Ray's warm smile and kind nature touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone who had the pleasure of sharing a cup of coffee with him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Memorial calling hours will be held on Friday, January 10th. from 4 to 6p.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tedy's Team, Raising Awareness, Fighting Stroke.https://tedysteam.org
