Raymond R. (Ward) Cote

LEICESTER: Raymond R. (Ward) Cote, 64, of Leicester, died Feb. 3rd.. at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, after suffering a 2nd stroke in as many weeks. He was a custom rod builder and co-owner of Cote's Fly shop, for over 30 years. Prior to that he was a maintenance man for various apartment complexes.
He leaves his wife of 36 years, Maryann (Cote) Cote, his daughter; April Desmond and her husband Ted of Leicester, his brother in law Joe Cote of Auburn and a cousin; Donal Robinson of Worcester. His sister Lois Perdew, and nieces Katie and Kimberly, of Worcester as well as a brother Mike Ward of Alabama.

He was born in Springfield, the son of John R. and Ann Marie (Gagen) Ward and later graduated from Leicester High School. He served his country with the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.

At his request, no funeral services are planned at this time. The MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial donations can be made to Second Chance Animal Services, PO Box 136, E. Brookfield, MA 01515.
