Rita M. (Vandale) Lennon,87, formerly of 31 Church St., died
Friday, Oct. 14 at Christopher House in Worcester.
She was the wife of James F. Lennon, Sr., who died in 1998. She leaves two
sons James F. Lennon, Jr. and his wife Madeline E. of Millbury and Robert T.
Lennon of Auburn, two granddaughters Lenore and her husband Joseph White of
Spencer and Gillian Lennon of Auburn, three great grandchildren Ashley,
Chelsea and Logan White and two step grandsons Jonathan and Matthew Hart.
Mrs. Lennon was a cafeteria worker at Maple Street School and St. Mary's
School in Spencer where she worked for 23 years, before retiring in 1983.
She was a member of St. Mary's Church and its St. Anne's Sodality, the
Spencer Golden Age Club and A.A.R.P. She graduated from David Prouty High
School in 1936.
Born in Spencer, she was the daughter of Frank and Clara (Blanchett)
Vandale.
The funeral will be held Monday, Oct. 17 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON
FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church,
60 Maple St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary,Queen of the Rosary
Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Monday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
