Rita M. Lowkes

Rita M. (Fletcher) Lowkes, 86, of 324 Main Street died
Wednesday, Aug. 10, in St. Vincent Hospital.
Her husband Joseph S. Lowkes, Sr. died in 2003. She leaves a son Joseph
S. Lowkes, Jr. and his wife Ellen of Spencer, a daughter Sandra L. Hill and
her husband Harold of Oak Bluffs, Martha's Vineyard, a sister Mary Batzer of
Yarmouth, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lowkes was born in East Brookfield daughter of George and Clara
(Young) Fletcher. She graduated from David Prouty High School.
The funeral Mass will be Friday Aug. 12, in St. John the Baptist Church,
North Brookfield Road, East Brookfield at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private
and at the convenience of the family in Evergreen Cemetery, East Brookfield.
There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be
