Robert G. Laventure

LEICESTER: Robert George Laventure, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2013. He leaves his beloved family, including his wife Else "Susie" Laventure, his son George Laventure and his wife Judy, his grandson Ryan Laventure, his granddaughter Alison Gagnon and her husband Nathan and his half sister Kathy Schutzer. He was predeceased in 2005, by his daughter Elke Laventure.

Robert returned after 20 years in the Army (SFC E-7). He served 3 years in Germany and 16 months in Korea. He continued working at Diamond International and later retired from Worcester Polytechnic Institute both in Worcester. Robert had a love for nature and all sports, especially skiing and snow shoeing. He continued to exercise daily his entire life.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, Feb. 22 at 1p.m. in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, Ma. Please omit flowers, contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society of America, Ma. Chapter, 180 Rustcraft Rd., Dedham, Ma. 02026. MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester is directing arrangements.
