STURBRIDGE:
Robert M. "Bob" Barry, 77, died Friday, December 12th at home with family by his side after bravely fighting a lengthy illness. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 35 years, Patricia "Patty" M. (White) Barry, his son, William Barry and his wife Kelly Fischl of Norfolk, MA, two daughters, Carolyn Barnes of Cicero, NY, and Colleen Barry of Leicester, his two brothers, William Barry and his wife Charlotte of TX, Paul Barry of Watertown, three sisters; Gloria Mank and her husband Chuck of IL, Patricia Strangio and her husband Francis of Watertown, and Claire Barry of Watertown, two grandchildren, Makayla, Maxwell, three great-grandchildren; Levi, Oliver and Wyatt. He was predeceased by three brothers: John J. Barry, Jr., George (Don) Barry, Ralph Barry and a sister, Marie McDougall.
Born in Boston, he was the son of John & Edna (Mailloux) Barry. Bob worked as a warehouse manager at Rent-A-Center in Franklin before retiring in 2013. He loved bass fishing along with his long time friend Ray (Aggie) and looked forward to the Father's Day LCI tournament on Lake Champlain. Bob was an avid Bruins fan during great seasons or not, his famous line was "Shoot the puck!"
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, Jan. 5th, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Calling hours will precede the service from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial of ashes will be at the convenience of the family. ( At the family's request, please do not send flowers).
