OXFORD: Robert L. Perry, 88 of 11 Pleasant St., No.Oxford, died Friday, Feb. 3 in UMASS Memorial-119 Belmont St. after a brief illness.

He leaves several nieces and nephews including his niece Jacqueline D. Young and her husband Robert of Charlton with whom he lived.

He is predeceased by a brother Charles Perry and sisters Elizabeth Taft and Barbara Daley.

Bob was a postal clerk at the Rochdale Post Office for many years before retiring.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Charles and Esther (Ackley) Perry and graduated from Oxford High School. He later served his country during WWII with the US Army and later the Korean War with the U.S. Air Force.

He was a founding member of the VFW Post 7556 in Rochdale. Bob was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots Fan.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 11a.m. in the Morrison-Morin Funeral Home, 1131 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Gore Cemetery, No. Oxford with Military Honors.

A calling hour will precede the service on Wednesday from 10-11a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 20 Speen St., Framingham, Ma. 01701.
