Robert D. Saucier Sr.

Robert D. Saucier, Sr., 80, of 4 Greenville Street died Thursday, Nov. 5 in his home after a brief illness.

He leaves his wife of 50 years Jane E. (Donnelly) Saucier, a son Steven A. Saucier of Spencer, a sister Joan T. Saucier of Spencer and several nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by two sons Gary D. Saucier and Robert D. Saucier, Jr., a brother David Saucier and a sister Cecilia Sullivan.

Mr. Saucier was born in Spencer son of David H. and Evelyn (St. Germain) Saucier. He was a machine operator for 40 years at Worcester Spinning & Finishing Co. in Cherry Valley retiring in 1994. He enjoyed going to Foxwoods Casino and making jigsaw puzzles. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.

A Graveside service will be held Saturday, Nov. 14 at 11:00 AM in Pine Grove Cemetery, Spencer. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to UMass Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA 01605 or to Spencer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 147, Spencer, MA 01562.
