Robert W. Smith

OXFORD: Robert W. Smith,71, of No. Oxford, died Sunday, June 23 in The Meadows of Leicester. His wife, Louise F. (Frietsch) Smith died Dec. 13, 2023. He leaves his children; Robert, Matthew and Christopher Smith and his stepson Scott Gustafson with whom he lived, his sister; Judy Cote of No. Oxford, Elizabeth "Cookie" Moore of Boylston and Dorothy Belanger of Granby, several grandchildren and a great grandson, many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brothers, George Smith and George Potter and a sister Rosie Egan.

Bob was a longtime building contractor working for area contractors and himself prior to his retirement.
He was born in Hartford, the son of George W. and Maryann (Blash) Smith and later graduated from the former Commerce High School in Worcester. He was a member of Greenville Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 28th. at 10 a.m. in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. A calling hour will be held prior to the services from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Greenville Baptist Cemetery in Rochdale.
