Roger R. Barnes

EAST BROOKFIELD: Roger R. Barnes, 57, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. He leaves his parents, Richard W. and Catherine A. (Lazarick) Barnes; his brother, Richard W. Barnes Jr., and his wife, Kristen, of East Brookfield; two nephews, Jacob Barnes and his wife, Colleen, and Ethan Barnes; two nieces, Sydney Barnes and her fiancé, Ryan Croke, and Kiana Barnes; a great-niece, Lily; as well as aunts and the many cousins who all held a significant role in his life. 

Born in Worcester, Roger was a graduate of David Prouty High School in Spencer. Over the years, he worked in construction and was known for his love of vintage sports cars, motorcycles, snowmobiles and racing. He loved caring for the many pets he had over the years as well as his large aquarium which housed all types of aquatic life over the decades. Roger will always be remembered for his amazing memory, sense of humor, but most of all his kind and caring heart. 

Private graveside services will be held at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery, East Brookfield, and at the convenience of the family. No other services are planned. The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the East Brookfield Police Department, 122 Connie Mack Drive, East Brookfield, MA 01515 or to the East Brookfield Fire Department, 273 E. Main St., East Brookfield, MA 01515. The J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terrace, Spencer is assisting the family with arrangements.
