ROCHDALE: Roy B. Cullinan, Jr., 90, died Saturday, February 1st in CareOne at Millbury.
He leaves his wife of 32 years, Gale A. (Courtney) Cullinan, three sons; Roy "Bud" Cullinan, III and his wife Carol of Sebastian, FL., Timothy Cullinan of Webster, Joseph Cullinan and his wife Lori of Oxford, two daughters, Cheryl Lewis and her husband Chris of Plymouth, Colleen Kunker and her husband Ted of Berne, NY., a brother, Robert Cullinan and his wife Sue of Auburn, a sister, Mary Stone of Charlton, his former wife Phyllis (Gionet) Cullinan,11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, David Cullinan and a sister, Shirley Hedin.
Born in So. Weymouth, he was the son of Roy B. Cullinan, Sr. & Janet (Bennett) Cullinan. He was a graduate of Auburn High School and received his degree in Civil Engineering from UMass Amherst. Roy worked as a civil engineer and land surveyor for Cullinan Engineering in Auburn which he owned and operated, retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Auburn Elks. He loved fishing, hunting, golfing, boating and skiing. He enjoyed his winters in Florida.
The family would like to give a special Thank You to the caring staff at CareOne at Millbury and the hospice team from Overlook in Charlton.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, February 8th at 11 A.M. in St. Aloysius-St. Jude Church, 491 Pleasant St., Leicester. Per his request no calling hours or burial are planned. Contributions in Roy's name may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
The MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester is assisting the family with arrangements.
