SPENCER: Sandra “Dee” (McNamara) Beatson, 83 of Spencer, died Friday, January. 9th at her daughter’s home in Oakham, MA. She leaves her children: Joseph Beatson of Auburn ME, Mary Simonovitch and her husband Rick of Spencer and Beth McDuffie and her husband Brian of Oakham. Her grandchildren: Joseph Howe, Angela Howe, Patrick Beatson, Jaimee Beatson, Kiley Simonovitch, Alec Simonovitch, Joshua McDuffie, Mary Turpin, Anna McDuffie, John-Paul McDuffie, and Ian McDuffie, and her many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Kathleen and Alfred Burns. Sandie was dedicated to her lasting friendships from childhood, work, and quilting groups. She spent much of her life watching her granddaughters dance in recitals, attending the soccer and football games of her grandsons, and talking on the phone with her children and grandchildren near and far. Sandie had a deep love for her sister Kathleen and was grateful for the opportunity to be a part of her nieces and great nieces and nephews lives after Kathleen passed. Sandie was a dedicated mother, grandmother, friend, and aunt. She was empathetic, kind, a good listener, reliable and supportive. Sandie worked for many years as a medical credentialer, retiring in 2007. She was born in 1942 in Worcester, the daughter of John T. and Cleone (Landroche) McNamara and later graduated from David Prouty High School in 1960. She was a member of Mary Queen of the Rosary Parish. Her funeral will be held on Friday, Jan. 16th from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. in Mary Queen of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held prior to the Mass from 9:30 to 10:45a.m. in the funeral home.
