WORCESTER/SHREWSBURY: Sylvia A. (Brunelle) Cucinotta, 75, of 10 Mary Scano Dr., and formerly of Shrewsbury, died peacefully, Sunday, Oct. 6 at UMASS Medical Center in Worcester. She was the wife of Joseph Cucinotta who died in 2016. She leaves her son Dennis P. Brunelle, Sr. and his wife Colleen of Spencer, stepson, Joel Cucinotta and his wife Joanne, their children Michael and Christopher and step daughter Nancy Cucinotta all of Maine, four grandchildren Dennis P. Brunelle, Jr., Jason P. Consiglio and Kenneth R. Consiglio, Jr. all of Spencer and Jaqueline M. Consiglio of E.Brookfield, 11 great grandchildren, two brothers David Brunelle and his wife Colleen of N.H. and Lawrence Brunelle of Westboro, a sister Juanita Willis of Whitman, her sister in law Shirley Brunelle of Framingham, several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother William Brunelle.
Born in Portland, ME., she was the daughter of Alfred C. and Hazel (Anderson) Brunelle. She was an assistant treasurer at Worcester Polytechnic Institute before retiring due to illness in 2002. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Worcester.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary,Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are Tuesday Oct. 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Worcester, 111 Park Ave., Worcester, MA 01609.
