Charlton

CHARLTON — Thomas P. Cook, 63, of Charlton, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 7, 2026, at his home.
Tom was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence was larger than life. He was a strong, hardworking man who loved his family fiercely.
Tom leaves behind his beloved wife of 42 years, Cindy J. (Dunphe) Cook, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and love. He also leaves his daughters, Laura E. Drewry and her husband Eric of Dudley, and Shannon L. Cook and her husband Kenneth Bond of Thompson, CT; his grandchildren, Maddi and Ben Drewry and Bradley Bond; his brother, Robert Cook, Jr. and his wife Lynn of Lunenburg; his sister, Mary Deotte and her husband Greg of Brookfield; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by his brother, Stephen Cook and nephew, Joseph Cook.
Born in Worcester, Tom was the son of the late Robert and Clara (McInnis) Cook. He graduated from Worcester Vocational, where he developed the mechanical skills that would become an important part of his life. Tom worked as a mechanic at Standard Auto Parts in Worcester for over 25 years before his retirement.
Tom had many passions and simple joys. He was an avid New England sports fan and enjoyed NASCAR racing. But above all else, Tom's greatest pride was his family, including his cats. He was a man who showed his love through his actions—by being there, by helping when he could, by protecting the people he cared about, and by making sure his family knew they mattered.
Tom will be remembered for his strength, his humor, his honesty, his generosity, and the unmistakable personality that made him uniquely himself. He leaves behind not only the memories of the life he lived, but pieces of himself in the people who loved him. His absence will be deeply felt, but the love he gave his family will remain with them always.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 11, at 11 a.m. in the J. Henri Morin & Son Funeral Home, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. A calling period will precede the service from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
