WORCESTER: Victor A. Pion,101, of Worcester, died suddenly, Thursday, Feb. 15th at his nephew's home in Rochdale.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 55 years, Loretta M. (Casey) Pion, his brother Leo Pion and sisters; Claire McGaugh, Leona Mayo and Doris Mayo.
He leaves his sisters Alice Vandal, of Grafton and Irene Mayo, of Rochdale, along with several nieces and nephews. Vic was a senior inventory analyst at Reed, Rolled Thread & Die in Holden for many years prior to his retirement.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Wilbert F. and Mary L. (Desmarais) Pion and graduated from Grafton High School. He later served his country with the US Navy during WWII, assigned to the destroyer escort USS Carlson throughout its entire commission.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 21st. from the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Aloysius-St.Jude Church, 489 Pleasant St., Leicester. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will precede the Mass from 9:30 to 10:30 am. in the funeral home.
