EAST BROOKFIELD: Virginia R. (Jacobs) Wark,93, of E. Brookfield, died peacefully Friday, March 29th in her home.
She was affectionately known by her family and friends as "Ginny".
She was the wife of George Wark who died in January of 2000.
Left to cherish in her memory, she leaves her daughter; Cheryl A. Piacente of East Hartford, CT., her sister; Evelyn L. Pelletier of Charlotte, NC., grandchildren; Lisa Cantrell of TX and Maria Taber of Calif., nephews Thomas Pelletier and his wife Linda of Charlotte, NC, Kenny Jacobs his wife Susan of East Brookfield, MA, and Gary Jacobs and his wife Denise of Spencer, MA, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and her lovely cat Zeta.
She is predeceased by brothers; Wakefield S. Jacobs, Jr. and Gerald L. Jacobs and her sister; Shirley Jacobs.
She was born in Worcester, Ma., June 12, 1930, the daughter of Wakefield S. and Grace E. (Doton) Jacobs, Sr.
Graduated from David Prouty High School in 1948. She attended the East Brookfield Senior Center.
Virginia was a supervisor in the technology dept. at Pratt Whitney Aircraft in Middletown, CT for 36 years before retiring in 1987.
The family is extremely grateful for the wonderful hospice team who kept her comfortable and provided such loving care at the end of her life. Special thanks to Kelsey Lussier, who not only provided professional care but became Virginia's dear friend and part of the family.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd. at 10 a.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, East Brookfield. A calling hour will precede the service on Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m.
