Vivian R. Cantara

SPENCER: Vivian R. Cantara, 100, formerly of 13 Temple St., died Monday, May 29 in Southbridge Rehab. & Health Care Center.
She leaves her nephew Edward J. "Pete" Cantara of Leicester, grand nieces Sighle Philbin of W.Boylston and Marisa Ayvazian of Paxton, several great grand nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Rita Y. Cantara in 2002.
Born in Spencer, she was the daughter of Arthur and Josephine ( Gagnon) Cantara and later graduated from David Prouty High School. She was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish.
Vivian worked at Curtis & Marble Co. in Worcester before retiring in 1985. Previously she worked at Harrington Richardson in Worcester for many years.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, June 1 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. A calling hour will precede the service on Thursday from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m in the funeral home.
