William F. Palmer, Jr., 86, of 17A Howe Village, died Sunday,
February 24 at UMASS Memorial Healthcare in Worcester.
He leaves a son, William F. Palmer, III of Brookfield, three daughters;
Nancy M. Plimpton and her husband Fred of Sturbridge, Sharon A. Charvet of
Brimfield, Patricia A. Palmer of Sturbridge, a brother, John Palmer of
Shrewsbury, a sister, Arlene Mulrain of Webster, 7 grandchildren, 3
great-grandchildren.
He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Beverly Wellman in 1993, a brother, James
Palmer and a sister Grace Dubeau.
Born in Troy, New York he was the son of William F. & Mary (Fallon) Palmer,
Sr.
He was an electrotypist for many years working at Holmes Electrotype in
Worcester.
He was a Marine veteran of WW II. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed
playing baseball with the Community and Industrial Leagues in Worcester.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, February, 28 at 10 a.m. in the J.
HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr. Burial with Military Honors
will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu
of flowers contributions may be made to the Spencer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box
147, Spencer, MA. 01562.
